Development update & planned release schedule

Hello to all our backers, and apologies for not getting this update out sooner!
To get straight to the point, we haven't been able to meet our planned February launch for the game. There are a number of factors involved in the delay; recording for additional voice acting has taken some extra time, and a few new features have been implemented as well, necessitating further debugging. Additionally, due to circumstances beyond our control, Takami Ryu has had to step away from the project. In his place, sound design for the game will be handled by Go Sato, known for his work on the Raiden series.
The upshot of all this is that the game isn't quite ready for release yet, but we're currently aiming for a launch by the end of March. Depending on the timing, we may not be able to get the game released on Steam before the end of the month, but if that situation arises, we'll distribute the finished game to backers via BackerKit as soon as it's ready, and provide Steam keys once we launch on that platform.
To keep you in the loop as we approach the game's release, we'll be sharing previews throughout the month on our Twitter account, and include all of the previews in a weekly updates here on Kickstarter as well. To kick things off, here's the fully-voiced opening of the game!
Not only that, but the demo for the game - previously exclusive to backers only - is also available on Steam! If you haven't had a chance to check it out yet, now is the perfect time.
Work on the game has proceeded steadily as well, and both development and translation are sitting at about 80% complete as of this update! We do also want to share that at launch, the game will go live on Steam as an Early Access title. This isn't anything to be concerned about - all the game's systems and features will be there at launch, but we'll be updating with new story quests regularly throughout 2020, and we want to make it clear that the game will continually be evolving and expanding.
Production of rewards is proceeding as well; currently the finishing touched are being put on the soundtrack, and pamphlet and postcard set is in the design phase. We'll keep you posted on an expected ship date for those!

BackerKit surveys sent out! Detailed instructions here!

Hello all! We had a few internal delays, but we've now launched our BackerKit for the campaign, and surveys have been sent out. Through the survey, you'll be able to provide us your name for the credits, choose your rewards and give us your address if applicable, and purchase add-on items for your pledge! The deadline for completing your survey will be one month from now, November 10, so be sure to get it all done by then!
If you're already familiar with BackerKit, feel free to jump right in, but if this is your first time, or you just need a refresher, read on for a detailed breakdown of how to use the site.
Intro Page
This is the first page you'll see when you open up your survey. From here you can check your pledge level, confirm your country for reward shipping, and check out some stats for the campaign. If you click on your pledge level, you'll get this screen:
This little pop-up will show you a detailed breakdown of your rewards, pledge questions, and shipping fees. You can also click that little "Switch Pledge Levels" link, and you'll be brought here:
From this screen, you can adjust your pledge level, and therefore the rewards you receive! If you upgrade to a higher level, you'll have to pay for the different on BackerKit. If you'd like to update to either the $100 or $150 tier, get in touch with us and we can make that happen! Please note that even if you decrease your pledge level, that won't provide you with a refund, it will only make the extra pledge amount available to spend on BackerKit for add-ons.
Once you're done checking out all that, you can click the Get Started! button to be brought to...

Next up are the pledge questions! If you have any apparel in your reward, you can choose your size and design (if applicable) here, and for all backers this is where you'll provide us a name for the credits.

Add-Ons
Another important part of BackerKit, this is where you can purchase individual add-ons, including the Backer-Kit exclusive Hippoboar Rancher Poster & Pamphlet Set! As you add items to your cart, you'll see your balance update on the right side of the screen.
Once you're all set, click the Next button to move on to...
Shipping
If you have any physical rewards to be fulfilled, you'll be brought to this screen. Just fill out your address and click next - BackerKit may make some automated adjustments to your address, be sure to look over them if so, usually they're accurate, but always best to make sure!
After this, we finally arrive at...
Confirmation & Payment
This is where it all comes together! Take one more look over all of the items you'll be receiving and double-check your address (if applicable). If you've added any items, or raised your pledge level, you'll also be able to enter payment information here, or check out on PayPal.
Assuming everything looks good, mash that Place My Order button!
Hooray, you're all done! You can send a cute little Tweet if you want, but at this point all that's left to do is wait for your rewards!
